Dozens of Downtown Businesses Decorate in the Spirit of the Season
Syracuse, NY – Downtown Syracuse radiated holiday cheer this season as dozens of local businesses participated in the Downtown Committee of Syracuse, Inc.’s Eighth Annual Window Wonderland Contest. Designed to enhance the festive atmosphere and draw visitors to the heart of the city, the competition saw thousands of community members cast their votes for their favorite storefront displays.

After weeks of anticipation, the results are in: Soup R Salads, located at 308 S. Warren Street, claimed the coveted first-place prize of $500. Their whimsical display, featuring a sleigh adorned with lollipops, candy canes, and a burst of holiday cheer, captured the imagination of Syracuse residents and visitors alike.
In second place, earning $250, was M. Lemp Jewelers at 300 S. Warren Street. Their window delighted onlookers with a classic winter scene complete with falling snowflakes and checkered stockings, embodying the cozy nostalgia of the season.
The third-place prize of $100 went to Costello, Cooney & Fearon, PLLC, located at 211 W. Jefferson Street. Their display featured a cheerful snowman amid a snowy landscape illuminated by white twinkling lights, creating a magical winter tableau that charmed passersby.



The Window Wonderland Contest not only celebrated creativity and holiday spirit but also served as a catalyst for attracting new customers to Downtown Syracuse’s diverse offerings. From retail shops and restaurants to cultural attractions, the festive window displays provided a picturesque backdrop for visitors to explore the area and support local businesses.
