New Policy Adopted Today All Contractors and Suppliers Supported by SIDA Must Be Local Miner: New Policy is a Natural Fit to our Ongoing Buy Local, Employ Local Efforts SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Mayor Stephanie A. Miner has worked with the leadership of the Syracuse Industrial Development Agency (SIDA) to create a new policy to require all contractors and suppliers involved in projects supported by SIDA must be locally owned and operated. Additionally, SIDA will add language in their application stating their preference for companies receiving SIDA benefits to provide opportunities for the purchase of goods and services from certified minority and/or woman-owned business enterprises, businesses specifically located in the City of Syracuse, and business enterprises which employ City of...
