On Friday November 6th 2009 Syracuse’s much talked about Creekwalk will break ground on Phase I linking two existing sections of the project.  Once completed, the Franklin Square section will be connected the Inner Harbor. You will be able to bike or walk from Armory Square to the southern shore of Onondaga Lake near Carousel Center.

This is the culmination of Mayor Driscoll’s vision of a mixed-use bicycle and pedestrian path from “the Onondaga Nation to Onondaga Lake.”

The ground breaking event will take place at 10:00 a.m. at the Walton Street Bridge on the 200 block.
